Capstone

Use the Pacing Guide to accomplish your weekly goals for this course.

Pacing Guide: Capstone Pacing Guide

Tips:

This course is set up to be completed in 4-5 weeks. Students often complete this course in 2-3 weeks.

The capstone project is your final performance assessment. In it you demonstrate your ability to integrate and synthesize competencies from domains across your degree program. The foundation of the capstone is the solution of a real problem. With the permission of their employers, some candidates have used work-related projects as the basis for their capstones. The project has four phases. Some phases will take longer than others, and part of your job here is to produce realistic time estimates.

The Capstone paper is very similar to the Technical Writing task.  You will see many similarities between the two courses.

Writing is in a past-tense format.

Evaluation follows the task directions, so follow the task instructions and make sure you have addressed each section required.

If you have already stated something previously in your paper, don't leave out the same information later in the paper if it is asked for in a different section of the task.

See the Technical Writing course tips for additional directions
