How to Contact a Course Mentor

Course Mentors are the subject matter experts.  I can't recommend enough how important it is to work with Course Mentors for every course.  They provide the best and most current information about their course, learning resources, exam prep, and tips and tricks to learn the competencies for each course.

There are two ways to contact a Course Mentor; via phone, or email.

Here is how to find out the Course Mentor's contact information.

Open the Course of Study for the course you are working on.

On the right side of the Course of Study the Course Mentor's contact information is listed in the "my Course Mentor" section

I always recommend calling the Course Mentors to get help faster.  You can always email the Course Mentor as well, especially if it is after hours and you have a question.

You should expect a response from the Course Mentors within 1 business day, but it is often within a few hours.

Expectations:

When you ask a general question, like, I don't understand this course.... you will receive a general answer.  They may say, work through the material in the Course of Study.

When you as a specific question, like, I need help understanding Truth Tables... you will receive a specific answer.  They may say, Here is a link to the Truth Tables section in the course, or here is some additional information about that topic.

When calling, you may have to leave a voice message... please leave a message if they don't answer.  They will get back to you as soon as they can.

When you email, be specific in your message.  They don't know how to help unless you indicate what your issues are.  They may have to schedule a call time with you to discuss your problem, but they need to know how best to assist you.

If you don't hear from them in a reasonable amount of time, let your mentor know you are waiting for a response.  If you have an email that was sent, forward it to your mentor.  We can help expedite your questions if there is an unreasonable delay in responding to your question.
